For the purpose of data protection legislation, the data controller Edukácia@Internet is responsible for your personal data (referred to as “we”, “us” or “our” in this privacy notice).

How is your data stored and kept secure?

We take your safety and security very seriously and we are committed to protecting your personal and financial information.

We have in place security measures to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, used, altered, disclosed, or accessed without authorisation. They will only process your personal data on our instructions and they must keep it confidential.

When personal information is transferred over the Internet, we encrypt it using Transfer Layer Security (TLS) encryption technology or similar technology. You can recognize an encrypted connection in your browser's address line when it changes from http:// to https:// and the lock icon is displayed in your browser's address bar.

We have procedures in place to deal with any suspected personal data breach and will notify you and any relevant regulator of any breaches if we are legally required to.

Transferring your data outside of the European Economic Area (EEA)

We use services from Google LLC, with its seat in 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, United States of America (further only “Google”). Data including your personal information are put into Google’s software and stored on their servers in the United States of America. This means your personal data is transferred outside of the European Union, namely to the United States of America.

We would like to inform you that GDPR allows transferring of personal data to third countries outside of the European Union provided, among other conditions, that the European Commission decided that this third countries ensures an adequate level of protection. According to the Adequacy decision of the European Commission, the United States of America are a country that provides an adequate level of protection through the Privacy Shield framework that was adopted on July 12, 2016. The Google company assures that, when transferring personal data from the European Union to third countries, it fulfills the conditions of legal frameworks that ensure a level of protection equivalent to the legal requirements of the European Union, including the Privacy Shield framework. Where processing of your personal data is based on consent, you can withdraw that consent at any time.

We aim to respond to all legitimate requests within one month, however, occasionally it may take us longer than a month to fulfil your request if it is particularly complex or you have made a number of requests. In such a case, we will notify you.
